Grandy Says
Poetry doesn’t have to rhyme,
But most of these verses do.
Sometimes I sing as I write them.
You might want to sing them, too.
(The way it works with a Grandies rhyme,
you can change the tune almost every time.)

Just driving all around).
Noah said, “It’s Trash Can,”
And it made my mother smile.

A Disappointing Zoo
Once we went to Kalamazoo
In Michigan, you know.
We rode in the car for hours and hours.
The trip seemed very slow.
So I dreamed of monkeys, chimpanzees
And imagined all the laughs,
But there were only aunts in Kalamazoo.
There were no giraffes.
